I have been successfully helping individuals and families for over 20 years.
I am a clinical psychologist in private practice, working with adults,
adolescents, and children as young as two years old. My approach to therapy
is holistic, encompassing the thoughts, emotions, physical health,
nutrition, and relationships of the individual. I teach my clients to tap
into their emotions, manage their stress, and heal from traumatic
experiences.
I am the author of the critically acclaimed book entitled Anger Work: How To Express Your Anger and Still Be Kind and the creator of the articles/podcasts Living a Peaceful Life, Creating and Maintaining a Healthy Living Environment as well as the co-author and co-creator of Raising Healthy Children and Teenagers. I have a masters degree from Princeton and a second masters degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fuller. I taught as an adjunct professor at Rosemead Graduate School of Psychology. Over the years I have been on staff at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, Sepulveda V.A. Medical Hospital, La Puente Mental Health, and St. Judes Medical Hospital. I have been happily married for over a decade and have 2 children.
In the past several years, I have given
hundreds of media interviews, including magazines, online magazines, TV and
radio talk shows. I have consulted with businesses and organizations. These
people seek my expertise on various psychological topics including: parenting,
relationship issues, depression, healing from past traumas, stress and anger
management.
I teach people how to be kind in all
situations, even when they are angry, and to live a more peaceful life. When you
do this, you enrich not only your own life, but also the lives of those around
you.
Sincerely, Dr. Robert Puff

Talks with Dr. Robert Puff and Elizabeth Lozano, M.A.:
If you would like to hear Dr. Puff and Ms. Lozano speak in person, they are offering speaking engagements on the following topics from their writings and podcasts:Living a Peaceful Life, Creating and Maintaining a Healthy Living Environment, Raising Healthy Children and Teenagers, and Anger Work: How To Express Your Anger and Still Be Kind, at
various locations in Southern California. These talks are open to all, and many of them are free.
A quote from Living a Peaceful Life: In simpler terms, live completely in the now. Be aware of your surroundings, but practice clearing your mind of the self-talk
that clutters your thoughts. Relax and find delight in each and every thing
around you, from the tiniest insect, to the song on your car radio, to a
colorful painting in your doctor’s office. Simply surround yourself in the
wonders of “what is,” and let go of every other thought. As you learn to just be
in the now, the eventual change in you will not only be an acceptance of “what
is,” but a loving of “what is.”
If you interested in having Dr. Puff and Ms. Lozano give a talk to your organization or at an event you are hosting, please contact Elizabeth Lozano to set up an engagement. All the talks open to the public will be posted on the Appearances web-page. Thank you and peace to you." |
